Why HubSpot? Why inbound?

 

Welcome to the inaugural episode of The HubHeroes Podcast! Our mission is a bold one – to empower all of you (marketing, sales, and business leaders) to explore the expansive universe of inbound and HubSpot in a way that's never been done before, so you can become a HubHero in your own right. So you can don your own majestic cape as a HubHero of traffic growth, leads, and sales. But before we talk about WHAT you need to do to make your growth goals a reality, and HOW you get there, we have to answer one other question first – WHY? Actually, we need to answer more than one WHY question first, not just one.

For example:

  • Why are we obsessed with transforming you into inbound masters and HubHeroes?

  • To understand WHAT your first steps are with HubSpot, we first need to answer WHY you turned to HubSpot in the first place?

  • And the same holds true if you're first dipping your toe into the world of inbound – WHY are you getting into the idea of inbound?

Those last two questions are absolutely essential, and make up the core of our conversation in this episode. What makes inbound so powerful is its limitless potential. What makes HubSpot a powerful platform for growth is that it's a blank canvas upon which you can paint awe-inspiring marketing, sales, and service masterpiece. 

However, you can only realize the limitless potential of inbound and paint your own HubSpot masterpiece is challenging yourself to ask that simple question: Why? Are there specific gaps in your sales, marketing, and service processes? Did you realize that something big needed to change?

So, in this episode, we begin our epic adventure into all things inbound and HubSpot with a conversation that will empower you to answer WHY for yourself, your teams, and your organization overall.

Welcome to the trailer for the Hub Heroes podcast, and I just wanted to talk about the exciting future that is about to take place, about to happen, and I am super excited. Look, one of the things that we've tried to historically do over the last 10 years is provide a lot of value for the HubSpot and inbound community. And along that way, I've been able to create some amazing friendships and it is at this point that I am bringing those friendships together, and we are getting ready to fly into the future with this new podcast that is the Hub Heroes podcast.

What's gonna be happening? Well, it's gonna be a weekly show, and we're gonna have myself, George b Thomas, who has been using HubSpot since 2012. We're talking tactics, strategies, hashtag g s d. That's me. But there are some other really, really, really smart folks gonna be on the show.

And so number 1, we're gonna have Devin Bellamy who is a HubSpot employee, but has years years of experience. And if we head over to his linkedin bio, I love the fact that he says ever since I created my first website during the dial up days. So he's been a hashtag nerd for a long time. I've always been obsessed with marketing. Reverse engineering the marketing strategies of multi $1,000,000,000 companies has been my hobby for a number of years.

So imagine the lessons that you're gonna be able to glean from the future episodes of the podcast. We'll get to that though. I wanna tell you some of the episodes that we've already thought about launching to the world here in the very near future. Devin goes on to say, I can create and grow every aspect of a brand's marketing funnel from the first touch to sales and beyond. I am also pretty decent multimedia producer.

If I do say so myself, my work has been on television, billboards, radio, and signage. I love this last part, ladies and gentlemen. I'm also pretty good at HubSpot. You're gonna find out how good Devon is at HubSpot, but it gets even better because we also have Max Cohen, which by the way, if you have not seen Max Cohen on LinkedIn and his link talks or TikToks on LinkedIn, you have to pay attention. His LinkedIn bio is super simple.

Dad solutions engineer and former product trainer implementation specialist at HubSpot. You have 3 people who have been trainers who love HubSpot. By the way, Max goes on inbound marketing savage CRM enthusiast. And by the way, competitive paintball, and he loves dogs. Let's go.

Again, historical knowledge and mentorship is going to be in your earbuds, your headphones, your car speakers. But you have these 3 folks at your disposal for the Hub Heroes podcast because we have combined forces to help turn listeners into the hub heroes of the organization. As we move forward, some of the things we're gonna talk about are turning humans into heroes. We're gonna talk about attract and what is great content anyway. We're gonna talk about buyer's journey, buyer personas.

We're gonna talk about his building trust crap. We're gonna talk about the HubSpot ecosystem, objects, properties, groups, all of those things. So we're gonna get nerdy. We're gonna get tactical. We're gonna stay up in some inbound strategies as well.

Why the heck do you need marketing hub? Why the heck do you need sales hub? Why the heck do you need service or operations hub? We're gonna talk about the physics of inbound multi channel marketing, list buying basics. That's right.
