#INBOUND24: INBOUND Late Show with George B. Thomas (Day One)

Welcome, welcome, welcome to Late Night at INBOUND with me, your friendly, neighborhood HubSpot Helper—George B. Thomas! We’ve got a great show for you tonight, and I’m not going solo on this one. I’ve got some amazing friends with me—Kyle Jepson, Max Cohen, and Justin Givens. Yeah, we’re bringing the crew together to break down the highlights from INBOUND 2024!

🍿 WATCH THE INBOUND LATE SHOW, NIGHT #1 🍿

Let me tell you something, this year was next level. We’re talking game-changing AI tools, big announcements from HubSpot, and some surprise moments.

But before we dive into the cool new tech, can we just take a minute to appreciate that I got to be a part of this awesome news anchor-style setup? I mean, come on—real table, real microphones, coordinated colors—we looked legit. And just to kick things off right, we threw out a question about the square footage of the BCEC… spoiler alert—it’s not 250 million square feet, but hey, I’m still sticking by my original guess..

Meet Breeze Intelligence from HubSpot

The real star of the show this year? Breeze Intelligence.

If you’ve been around HubSpot for a minute, you know they’ve been rolling out AI features like blog generators, podcast tools, and landing page creators. But now, HubSpot’s brought them all together under the name Breeze—and it’s not just a rebrand. Breeze Intelligence pulls everything into one cohesive platform that’s going to change the game for marketers and sales teams alike.

Kyle Jepsonlegendary as always—brought up a killer point during our chat: while a lot of these features might seem new, they’re actually evolutions of what HubSpot’s been working on. If you’re familiar with ChatSpot, you already know a lot about how this works. But now, it’s all packaged under Breeze Intelligence, making it way easier for teams to adopt and use AI without feeling overwhelmed by constant updates and features.

Kyle said it best: “We’ve pulled it all under the Breeze name to make it coherent, to give it a cohesive story.” And folks, that’s what we need—simplicity. HubSpot is all about unifying complex tools into something streamlined, and Breeze does just that.

AI Agents: Your New Best Friends

Now, let’s talk about these AI agents, because this is where things get wild. During the product keynote, we were all sitting there, jaws on the floor, as we learned about agents that can handle everything from social media to sales prospecting. Max Cohen was practically swearing under his breath (you didn’t hear that from me) as the announcements rolled in. I mean, this stuff is next-level smart.

Take the social media AI agent, for example. It doesn’t just generate a few posts and call it a day. No, this thing gets to know your industry, understands what’s happening in your world, and suggests posts for events you didn’t even think about. Like the Autumn Equinox—who’s thinking about that? But guess what? This AI agent is like, “Hey, I noticed the Autumn Equinox is coming up. How about we do a themed post with images and captions for all your social channels?” Mind. Blown.

And don’t even get me started on the prospecting agent. For smaller teams without a BDR or AE in place, this is a game-changer. I’m talking about AI that can dig into your CRM data, find leads, and even recommend the next steps to take. It’s like having a 24/7 sales assistant who’s never tired and never needs a coffee break.

What Does This Mean for Us?

We’re in an exciting time, folks. HubSpot’s not just throwing a bunch of random AI features at us—they’re simplifying the complex. They’re packaging all this innovation in a way that helps us move forward faster, without overwhelming us. And that’s what I love.

But here’s the thing: these tools are here to assist, not replace. Like Kyle said during our session, it’s all about using these tools to augment your strengths and fill the gaps where your team might be spread too thin. That’s where these AI agents really shine.

You can still do what you do best—building relationships, strategizing, being creative—and let AI handle the heavy lifting on the back end. Whether it’s scheduling social posts, finding leads, or even writing that first draft of your blog post, AI is here to make your job easier, not take over.

Curiosity + Creativity Are Key

As we wrapped up the show, I asked the guys what their biggest takeaways were from INBOUND24, and curiosity and creativity kept coming up. You have to be curious about how to leverage these tools. You have to be creative in applying them to your specific needs. AI isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution—it’s about exploring how it can fit into your business, your team, and your process.

And remember, like Max said, “Use it. Don’t abuse it.” These tools are here to help, but they need direction. If you ask AI to write a random email with no context, you’re going to get junk. It’s all about refining, iterating, and giving AI the information it needs to produce great results.

That's a Wrap, Folks!

Alright, folks, that’s your recap from Late Night at INBOUND24. We covered AI, HubSpot’s Breeze Intelligence, and some killer new tools that are going to change how you do business. The future is looking bright, and I’m excited for what’s coming next. But remember, as always—be a happy, helpful, humble human, and let’s keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in this digital world.

Until next time, I’m George B. Thomas, and I’ll see you on the next episode of Late Night at INBOUND!
