Getting Started With HubSpot Video Capture
Here's the thing: video is one of the most powerful ways to connect with humans in your sales and marketing workflows. That's exactly why HubSpot released Video Capture, a feature that lets you record videos directly within your portal. No jumping between apps, no complicated exports. Just hit record and go.
We're going to walk you through everything you need to know about using this feature. Whether you're creating demo videos, sending personalized messages, or building content, this'll save you serious time.
Before You Start: Check Your Plan
First things first. Video Capture is currently in public beta and it's only available for humans on Content Hub Pro or Content Hub Enterprise. If you're not sure which plan you're on, head to your account settings and verify. No plan? Now's a good time to chat with your HubSpot rep about upgrading.
How To Enroll In The Video Capture Beta
Even though it's a beta feature, getting access is straightforward:
- Log into HubSpot and navigate to the far right side of your screen
- Click on Product Updates
- Search for "video"
- Find Video Capture: Record Videos Directly in HubSpot
- Click the Join Beta button to auto-enroll your portal
Once you've joined, you'll have access to all the recording tools. You should see the option to give feedback or leave the beta, which means you're officially in.
Recording Your First Video
Once you've enabled the feature, here's how to start recording:
- From your left sidebar, scroll down and click Content
- Select Videos from the content menu
- Look for the Add Videos button in the top right corner
- Click the dropdown arrow and select Record Video
- HubSpot will open your recording interface
You're now ready to capture whatever you need. Duplicate a tab if you want to navigate around HubSpot while recording a screen capture. Show off your deals dashboard, walk through your CRM setup, or demo a workflow. It's all fair game.
Saving and Managing Your Videos
When you're done recording, the process is just as simple:
- Click Finish Recording when you're done
- Review your video using the playback option
- Click Save Files on the left side to save your recording
Your video will then enter the processing queue. Give it a few moments and it'll be ready for you to watch, edit, and share. You can view video details and toggle between different sections to see all your recorded content in one place.
Why This Matters For Your Team
Being able to record videos inside HubSpot removes friction from your workflow. No more screen recording software. No more uploading files. No more hunting through your downloads folder. It's all integrated into the platform where you're already working.
Use it for personalized sales videos, training content, quick demos, or client communication. The flexibility here is huge, and it's only getting better as the feature moves out of beta.
Next Steps
If you're on Content Hub Pro or Enterprise, go ahead and enroll in the beta today. Start experimenting with recording videos directly in HubSpot. And if you run into questions or want to share feedback with the HubSpot team, they're actively listening during this beta period.
